Isn’t it an amazing thought that the Lord of the universe longs for us to be in a relationship with Him? I encourage you to take a moment to think deeply about this profound truth; a truth that will transform your life in every way. Sometimes we tend to believe that God loves us in a begrudging sort of way, and that He is not that thrilled to be our God. Nothing could be further from the truth and the death of Jesus on the cross proves it! Listen to how much God cares for us: “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will...” (Ephesians 1:4-5)

God loves us so much that even before the world began He chose us! He chose to make a way for you to become holy and blameless in His sight through faith in His son. His desire for us was so strong that He gave His only Son to die on the cross! He chose us even while we were His enemies and completely lost in sin. Brethren, God loves you, and He wants to have a real relationship with you! Not just any relationship, but an intimate, meaningful one—like that between a father and a child. God is our loving Father. He wants you to communicate with Him. He wants to give what is best for you. He wants to meet your needs. He wants you to lay all of your burdens on Him because He cares for you!

How is your relationship with the Lord? Do you have a true relationship—one that surpasses empty ritual and mere academic knowledge? Can you truly say that you know the Lord and that He knows you? He has clearly displayed His awesome love for you. Will you draw near to Him? He is waiting for you with open arms!
