Why Does the Church of Christ Sing a cappella Only ?
The 13,000
congregations of Churches of Christ of the Restoration Movement in America and
the many thousands in the rest of the world are a fellowship begun about two
hundred years ago as an effort to restore biblical teachings and practices in
every area of our lives. One of the things that guests notice immediately
is the absence of musical instruments in our praises to God. We sing a
cappella which is an Italian word meaning "Chapel Style".
